High-performance modifications and common issues with the OEM impala 2-piece driveshafts are aleviated by our high-performance Impala driveshaft. Don't get conned into buying a "high-performance" Impala shaft that is 1310 series at the transmission and middle! If you want the strength benefit of 1350 series u-joints, they need to be in all 3 joint locations; and that is exactly how we build them.
The polyurethane bearing gives you the rigidity required when running powerful modern engine and transmissin combos, while the telescoping rear section allows for all of the driveshaft movement to be contained in the rear half of the driveshaft. Giving this shaft a slip and spline in the rear half is beneficial for all Impalas, but is especially necessary for an airbag suspension. No more blown out carrier bearings!
This shaft is made with USA made DOM 2"x.120" tubing, Neapco 1350 series solid-cross u-joints, beefy 1 3/8" diameter polyurethane center support bearing, 1/38" diamter midship spline, and your choice of transmission slip yoke +optional upgrade to Sonnax Chromoly slip yoke. The shaft comes fully assebled, high-speed balanced, and ready to install.

*PLEASE NOTE: This shaft is capable of handling 765 HP when utilizing all 1350 series u-joints. If you do not have 1350 series u-joint at the rear diff, that power rating will drop to whatever your selected joint series is capable of. The driveshaft is only as strong as its weakest link.
